Our History:
We are Power 4 U. Run by Jamie and Jimmy. We first met at school and, being in the same industry, helped each other on jobs, before joining forces and going into partnership.
Power 4 U was established in January 2021. We specialise in commercial and industrial electrical installations, and carried out national installations, including swimming pools, factories and agricultural buildings.
In 2022 we decided to take the plunge into renewable energy. Having done a couple of solar installations for our commercial clients we saw a business opportunity in a growing market as well as doing our bit to help the environment. By mid-2022 we had transitioned into one of the leading renewable energy companies in our local area.

With customer service and satisfaction at the forefront of our business, we believe in a personalised approach. Between the two of us we have conducted every site survey, completed every installation and answered every phone call and we believe our reviews speak for themselves.
We are one of few renewable energy providers that works closely with local roofing contractors to ensure all the roof work is carried out correctly prior to our installs, and we ensure that this roofing work comes with a 20 year guarantee.

Solar PV

The Solar Process

Step One
Full Site Survey
After receiving your enquiry, our friendly team will reach out with any questions and to book in a full site survey and consultation where we will look at your usage and spec a system to your needs.
We will assess the roof, and existing electrical setups, discuss other relevant products, and provide a full and comprehensive proposal within 48 hours of survey.

Step TWO
Install Day
We aim to complete install within 3 weeks of acceptance.
Applications, scaffolding and admin would have all been completed prior to site visit, and domestic installs take on average 1-2 days.
After the install is complete, we do a complete handover, discuss smart phone connection, safety pointers and answer any other questions.

Step Three
Aftercare
Post installation, we monitor all of our systems off site, to ensure everything is working as it should be.
We carry out annual service visits to keep your system working to its maximum potential. This is called Solar Care.
How much will solar panels save me?
This depends on a number of factors including, the size and number of panels installed, the amount of energy you consume and the cost of electricity but according to “The Eco Experts” solar panels will typically save around 70% of your energy bills and will also add between 0.9% and 2% to your property value.
How long will it take to pay back my investment?
It typically takes 3-4 years to pay back an investment in solar panels for your residential property, more often than not, the lower end of the scale.
What type of roof systems do you offer?
This is a question we get asked a lot due to the areas we service in and around the dales and the countryside.
Unlike most other suppliers, who offer ‘on roof’ solar only, we also offer in roof, which is great for our clientele that have stone roofing.
What can be done about excess energy we don't use?
There are several options. The best thing to do is to store excess power in battery storage systems that allow you to store the power and use it overnight. We also offer other products such as an energy diverter that will divert excess power to hot water cylinders or we can link the solar to smart car chargers to trickle feed your electric car.

UPDATE - I recently had a battery added to my solar system and both Jimmy and Jamie were very helpful throughout. Power4U installed my solar system just short of a year ago and even though it was quite a miserable year for weather, it has generated over 10% more than the estimated yearly output I was quoted, which I'm very happy with.
